Building renovation
Existing buildings that have not been classified as listed buildings can benefit from a variety of interventions for different reasons. The addition or extension of a building can come in case it has not been completed, as there may be an available urban planning factor. Of great interest is the remodeling of a building when it is included in a different use than the one it originally had. As our cities are constantly growing and the units that make up them are also changing. The main objectives of an intervention in an existing building are its Functional, Constructional, Energy and finally Aesthetic upgrade. In any case, in smaller or larger scale interventions, the addition of a building or the inclusion of a new use must comply with the specifications of the prescribed regulations (Building, K.En.A.K., Fire Protection, Antiseismic, access to disabled people). Our office has dealt with different scale interventions in existing buildings, either private or public, providing the following services :
- Archival Research and Legality Check
- Mapping of the Existing Situation for the creation of the necessary design backgrounds
- Preparation of a Building Program
- Preparation of a Study up to the implementation stage
- Ensuring the necessary Approvals and Permits according to the use of the building
- Preparation of Budget, Technical Specifications and Tender Documents
- High Supervision
For the proper implementation of the project, our office collaborates with surveyors, statics, electrical and mechanical engineers and energy consultants.
