Apartment renovation

Apartment renovation

The apartment is located on the first floor of an apartment building on the Sicilian hill in Kallithea. It has a total area of 36m2 and has a north orientation. Its small surface and poor orientation led to an introverted solution. The main objective was to undo the fragmentation and ensure the entry of natural light in the most remote parts of space. All the interior walls except those of the bathroom were deposed. The whole space was paved with wooden flooring. The dominant element during the reconstruction of the apartment was the wooden constructions. Wooden structures are multi-purpose, define the subsea, have cabinets accessible from both sides, have openings and do not end up on the ceiling. In this way, subspaces for living room, dining room, bedroom and kitchen were formed, which are diffused in the open plan area of the apartment.
