Landscaping, parking and fencing of the central part of the former royal estate of Tatoi
The scope of the project concerned the landscaping of the central part of the former Royal Estate of Tatoi. According to the planned mode of operation and access to the Park, the entrance gates were defined. At the important entrances, on the provincial road, small plateaus were formed (entrance of Lefka, Platanos, Guitar). At a short distance from the entrances' plateaus, the necessary parking spaces are developed. In addition to the entrances, the delimitation of the area was studied in order to avoid creating obstacles or trapping conditions for the fauna of the forest area. By connecting the entrances with all areas of interest within the estate, the network of roads and paths was formed, which restores in its entirety the historical routes of the estate. On the main route, visitors will be allowed to be transported by an electric Shuttle bus. In addition to the configuration and upgrading of the areas around the buildings, platforms for standing-viewing along the routes as well as public gathering places for emergencies were formed. At the same time, an integrated signage system was studied, with signs for visitor orientation, vehicle traffic, information and guidance on monuments, landscape and activities within the estate.
