Landscaping of a two-storey building
Landscaping of a two-storey building
The configuration of the surrounding area concerns for the most part the functional support of the underground house. Critical spaces are formed that are mainly used during the summer months and magnify the spatial development of the residence. Some other areas complete the necessary access and parking areas. Finally, an independent access is created for the hostel that is no longer involved with the rest of the courtyard that concerns only the underground residence. The corridor of the central access gradually descends and is connected to part of the existing scale. In the area that is closer to the underground residence, the outdoor kitchen is formed. An outdoor countertop is constructed with a sink and infrastructure for a barbecue or an oven. In this area is placed mobile equipment of table and seats. At the other end of the configuration, in the upper area facing the entrance access, the outdoor living room is formed. It is a base with a built back and a bench on both sides. For its shading, a pergola with reeds is made. The intermediate zone connects the two areas mentioned and ends in a shower cabin. The transition to these three areas is done either with simple steps, or with double width and height steps that can be used as benches or as places of placement of pots. The current entrance of the vehicles is maintained with the addition of a sliding door for sealing the space. A space is formed for the parking of three vehicles with the possibility of reversing them. This area is bounded by a low stone parapet from the rest of the courtyard. A small ramp connects it with the central paved corridor.
