Children’s room design

Children’s room design

The room has an area of about 13.50 m2 and a net height from floor to ceiling of 2.50 m. Its surface is relatively small as it is used by two children. The goal was to ensure two reading and sleeping positions as well as the optimal layout for the implementation of storage cabinets and library shelves. Two different structures were studied. One concerns a two-storey bunk bed with a wardrobe. The two headboards are placed counterbalances which best serves access through the ladder to the upper sleeping position. As there is no other storage area in the room, the maximum exploitation of the wardrobe was attempted with a multiplicity of subdivisions that helps at the same time in the division of objects. The second construction grows on the entire surface of the opposite wall. It concerns two reading desks and one library. The reading seats are symmetrical include a bench and a chest of drawers. The library is built on the rest of the wall.
