Playground remodeling

The play area, which was reconstructed, is located on the building block, which includes the church known as "Panagitsa" in the Municipality of Petroupoli. The play area has an area of approximately 955 m2 and is surrounded by Pindou, Tsakalov and Gravias streets. It was divided into two subsections taking into account the small elevation difference between Pindou and Gravias streets and the existing low wall. The distinct play areas accommodate three age groups of users, according to the current legal framework (category 3, spaces over 800 m2). The northern section, that of Pindou Street, was designed for the game of teenagers (area A). This section holds the high level and is characterized as relatively exposed. The main toy of older children is the climbing and balance dome, an impressive tubular construction with nets and ropes. Two camshafts completed the equipment. The drop floor in this play area is a pebble sandbox of special granulometry and composition according to the EN1176-1 standard. The southern section (areas B and C) near Gravias Street is at a lower level and is characterized as relatively protected. An interactive themed slide and two wooden swinging animals were placed for preschool children, while two double cots were placed for school children. The floor throughout the play area of this section is cast rubber in two colors. The molded rubber floor is in accordance with EN1176-1 with the thickness provided for the drop heights of the playing instruments.
