The part of the city center of Ioannina that was the intervention area is the triangle that is enclosed northwest by Dodoni-Averoff street (from the Prefecture to the junction with Mitropoleos Street), east of Mitropoleos and Ier.Gervasiou streets (Metropolis, Litharitsia, Cultural Center) and south of the area of the current market to the Courthouse. The whole area was treated through a framework of single engravings. Throughout the flooring, a grid was proposed that appears on the surfaces covered by hard floors and constitute the squares of concentration and relief of the public. On the edge of the natural landscape, fronts of transition were formed from one element to another. The curved engravings of the planting, arches that unify the green space and separate the slopes from the flat parts, followed the altitudinal curves of the natural soil. The dominant synthetic tool of the intervention was the greenery that was used as a modular spatial relations.
