The play area is located in the Municipality of Petroupoli and has an area of 2380 m2. The main entrance is on Konstantinoupoleos Street. It is transversely defined by Eleon streets to the east and Peta to the west, on which there is a secondary entrance. The new configuration retained the positive elements of the previous design such as the wooden pergola and the small theater which were partially repaired. For the most part, the terrain was preserved as well as the existing trees and shrubs. The terrain and the other characteristics of the existing configuration contributed to the configuration of a play area for three age groups. To the right of the entrance was located the play area A, which is addressed to teenagers. The central toy of the area is a complex instrument of climbing and rotation, a construction of galvanized iron pipe and ropes and is completed by a balance disc and two rotating poles. The fall floor of this section is a sand pit with special granulometry and composition according to the standard ΕΝ1176-1. To the left of the entrance and along the traffic corridor is the play area B for school children. The unit consists of two two-seater swings and a wooden climbing instrument with two towers and a slide. The drop floor of the play area of this section is cast rubber. In the southeast corner, in the most sheltered area, was located the play section C intended for infants. The existing elevation difference allowed the introduction of a slide on the slope formed by a cast elastic floor while the exit of the slide is made in a sandstone of special granulometry pebbles. The slide entrance area at the highest level was covered by a cast rubber floor. Three additional play instruments, two wooden swinging animals and an infant seesaw were placed in this area. The western area of the open space remained free. Intended for playing on the grass and adjacent to Konstantinoupoleos street glade.
